Team Physicians
Fox Valley Orthopedics has been the team physicians for local area schools, as well as the Kane County Cougars for over twenty years.
Dr. Kevan Ketterling - Team Physician for St. Charles North and East High Schools
Dr. Timothy Petsche - Team Physician for Batavia and Burlington High Schools
Dr. Vishal Metha - Team Physician for Kaneland High School
Dr. Eric Bartel - Team Physician for Geneva High School
In addition to serving as team physician to St. Charles High School, Dr. Kevan Ketterling plays the lead role for the Kane County Cougars. Previously, he was assistant team physician to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds professional sports teams during their 1990-1991 seasons.
Dr. Vishal Mehta is the team physician for Kaneland High School. Active in the community, he was recently awarded Delnor Hospital’s Humanitarian award for outstanding service to the community, and has been nominated for the American Red Cross’s Hometown Hero award.
Dr. Eric Bartel is the team physician for Geneva High School. An avid runner and cyclist, he has written articles on foot disorders and their treatments in order to better serve his patients and the Geneva community: “If The Shoe Fits…..” and ”Don’t Let Heel Pain Slow You Down.” He also gives lectures in the community on foot and ankle injuries and their treatments.
Dr. Timothy Petsche is the team physician for Batavia and Burlington High Schools. He served as assistant team physician to the Miami Heat professional basketball team during their 1999-2000 season, and in the same capacity for the Miami Sol of the Women’s National Basketball Association in their inaugural 2000 season. He has provided orthopedic coverage for several tournaments of the Professional Golf Association, Senior Professional Golf Association, and Association of Tennis Professionals. Dr. Petsche’s interest in sports medicine stems from his own participation in athletics; while attending the University of Michigan, he was a member of the highly ranked spring board and platform diving team, and was awarded academic all Big Ten and Big Ten conference scholar athlete awards.
